They run the gamut from good old-​​fashioned dic­tio­nar­ies, to visual word webs, to help with con­fus­ing words and pro­nun­ci­a­tion guides. I use Fire­fox, and had already added sev­eral of these sites into my search engine drop-​​down. But I found some new good­ies. A effec­tive way to go is to add the usual offer­ings from the Mozilla add-​​ons site, make sure you include the Mycroft Project to the drop-​​down as well, or just go to their site … and search there for the lesser known search engines included in the life­hacker arti­cle. Some help­ful com­ments below the arti­cle add even more worth­while search engine tools.
